“ Found ourselves looking for breakfast while driving on I-55. Found this little place. What a pleasant surprise. Everything was made to order, hot, fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a quick breakfast, that won't break the bank, I highly recommend Master Chef! Bonus they serve Community Coffee. Saved this spot for future road trips. Hope to go back for lunch. ”

“ Master Chef has ALWAYS been 1 of the BEST places 2 eat n Amite if u don't wanna empty wallet 2 do it lol. Onion rings are 2 die 4. U DEF gotta add salt each time. Not quite sure wut they got against salt, but they def don't use it 2 cook or season wit. Other than that, u CAN NOT BEAT IT!! It's a bit pricy compared 2 sum fast food places, i.e McDonald's, Burger King etc. (it really, isn't 2 much more, if I'm bein honest) However, SOON as u take a bite, u'll see it's worth every penny. Only bad thing; they close @ 2 daily & always have. Moms been takin us here since we're kids & she's been comin since she was 1 too, if that tells u how long it's been here. I say, must b nice makin so much ur Co. is open daily but jus 1/2 a day & still, get by w/o a worry n the world. Lol NEVER n my LIFE, would ANYTHING even REMOTELY CLOSE 2 that, EVEN b possible 2 happen 2 me. U can DEF TRUST & BELIEVE THAT LMFAO ”

Even though I believe it has gone through a change in ownership over the decades, it still maintains the same friendly family owned atmosphere I remember. Great burgers, homemade shoestring onion rings that are amazing, and prices that are close to fast food chains with quality that far exceeds them. Even though I checked the 10-20 per person price range, it falls into the 11 to 12 category for food, side, and a drink. ”
“ I have been eating at the iconic Master Chef since I was 16. I will be 60 this year. I remember when Mr Vince opened in the early 80’s. I was in high school and now I take my grandchildren there. I love cheese grits for breakfast, but everything is great and the prices are always fair. Don’t ever change. Loads of great memories are associated with this place. And let me just say...if you’re not happy with your food or service..tell them. They are happy to fix the problem if they know there IS a problem ”
“ Great prices. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I like the fried chicken.. some days its seasoned so well then some days its not. Love the onion rings also.. The hamburger steak was good. I wished it had peppers and onions on it. My mom said the fried pork chop plate was good. The tea is DELICIOUS , I always order two gallons to go. ”

The biscuit with honey butter and jelly is amazing! It was so good I forgot to take a pic before I starting eating! ”
“ Might not look like much from the outside, but you are greeted with a wonderful home cooking smell. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito with smoked sausage. My husband tried the breakfast BLT and it came on toast- he wants to come back to try the biscuits and gravy. The tea was really good too. Choose between a booth or table seating. Bathroom was relatively clean. ”
